Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle — guides
Русская версияGuides for players: event mechanics, tactics, and the things the game never explains. Written by a player rather than the developer, so everything is checked against the client and against actual play.
Contents
- 01 NAP — the non-aggression pact Who is off limits and why scouting counts as an attack; what a violation costs, why revenge raids are banned, and what to do if you are attacked.
- 02 Shadow Expedition A first such event for a young realm. The only goal is the Castle; all other dens are obstacles, and backpacks spent on unnecessary ones are wasted. The Castle is opened by any four inner-ring buildings, not by the roads leading to it — and that drives the whole logic of the map: what to take alone, what to take together with a neighbouring squad, which dens not to touch. A three-squad plan, which lineups to send to the first ring, and why we take the Castle on a separate day.
- 03 Alliance Conquest A first such event for a young realm: why defense needs one lineup as strong as possible and one as weak as possible, while two average ones both lose and hand the enemy points. Why you must set up lineups yourself before Preparation ends, why you can attack with any heroes — even those that died on defense — and why you should boldly hit lineups stronger than yours. Plus a section for officers: who has been hit and who to finish off.
- 04 Troop compatibility in rallies Why troop type decides nothing in a monster den and everything in a rally on a castle. Rally damage depends on tier alone: a T6 soldier weighs one third of a T10. Losses are split equally between everyone, and what ruins them is not a low tier but leaky defence on your own type and heroes below level 131 — a real battle where one such player multiplied the group's losses 8.6 times. All of it guesswork from analysing many battles rather than documented mechanics, and the text says so plainly.
- 05 Curios (relics) Hero weapons from the Weapon Forge: why the passive buffs only work on the curio's own hero while any other hero gets the hero attribute alone; what quality changes; how inheritance works — enhancement and stars travel, colour does not — and why the materials are hoarded for months and dumped during the event. Plus the hero level 211 gate and where the shop is hidden, because nobody finds it on their own.
- 06 Stats: what to upgrade and when Why you should develop exactly one troop type until castle 31: that level unlocks scroll research with free weekly materials, but only on tabs where you own a level 8 item — three of them, not nine. The troop triangle, why specific stats beat general ones two to one, why a mixed Arena march makes you easier to beat, and every system that grants stats.
- 07 Alliance Showdown A week-long event where ordinary actions, not battles, earn alliance points. Why attempts are the scarce resource rather than resources themselves, why an accepted and failed quest costs the whole alliance, why 100 helps beat spending 25,000 diamonds, and why purging cheap quests is right in an old Realm and wrong in a young one.
- 08 Tundra Ruins A solo event: 50 levels of 10 ice blocks, one Ice Pick for 100 diamonds. Why the rest of the blocks open free once you find the exit, where to click first based on 115 levels of data from two castles in two Realms, which chest to stop at, and why going deep is the most expensive way to play. And why to take the Alliance Showdown diamond quest for that weekend: the same diamonds pay three times over.
- 09 Valiant Conquest A Purge night inside your own Realm: the NAP is fully suspended and losses cost nothing — the Realm Hospital returns everyone for free. Three ways to score — attacking, defending and reinforcing, what war frenzy takes away, and why this is our first and probably last rehearsal before Realm Expedition.
- 10 Oblivion War One hour against an alliance from another server: the deal in the first five minutes, how to occupy buildings and camps, the Gate and its Goalkeeper, super rallies, titans and stones — and why your troops cost you nothing here.
- 11 The Battle for the Hall of Might A war between alliances of our own Realm: the rules, our agreement and plan, how to plan losses and why you should not join without a stock of T1 Vehicles.
- 12 Getting Started: Troops, Heroes and Your Castle For brand-new players: why you pick one troop type, balancing match-3 against strategy, which heroes to level and how far, where to stop with the castle, troop promotion and what not to do early.
- 13 Undead Scourge — a guide for newcomers Defending our own castles: 20 waves with wave 17 the worst, the Fortress on waves 10 and 20, why chasing difficulty is a mistake, what to do about abandoned castles.
- 14 Hunt Focus: How to Stockpile Stamina and Cash It In The −20 % stamina buff from the Balance tab, the stamina-bank trick that pushes you past the 120 cap, and how to run a team hunt.
- 15 Scorching Front: How to Play It and Not Waste Your Time Official event rules, session schedule and practical tactics: where to teleport, which tiles to take, why you need a shield and why healing troops afterwards is a waste.
- 16 Why You Must Never Bring Vehicles to a Rally How troop counters work, why Vehicles lose to everything, how they make the whole rally bleed — and where they are genuinely useful.
- 17 Alliance Defense — a guide for newcomers The Alliance Defense event: yellow points and the red boss, waves, marches and what weaker players should do.
