Hunt Focus: How to Stockpile Stamina and Cash It In
Русская версия"Hunt Focus" is a buff unlocked on the hero talent page, "Balanced" tab.
It reduces stamina consumption when hunting monsters by 20 %. Duration — 10 minutes, cooldown — 24 hours.
Ten minutes once a day. So you do not switch it on "when you remember" — you switch it on exactly when your stamina pool is full and the rallies are ready to launch.
1. Where the buff pays off
On ordinary Monster Den runs it is reasonably good: the discount is real, but a rally there is cheap anyway.
In event hunts — the Stamina Event hunt, called «Морозная нежить» in the Russian client (the English name is unverified) — it becomes insanely good, for two reasons:
- There you can set the rally gathering time to 1 minute instead of the 5 minutes used for Monster Den hunting. That alone makes your runs five times faster.
- An event monster costs more than a Monster Den — but not at every level. Per the wiki, a rally on an event monster of level 1–4 costs 30 stamina and level 5–7 costs 60; an ordinary Monster Den runs from 20 to 40 depending on level. So the genuinely expensive ones are levels 5–7, while at low levels the difference is small. And the more a rally costs, the more stamina those 20 % actually save.
The numbers are indicative: yours depend on how far Fiona is levelled and on other bonuses.
Simple arithmetic: with one-minute rallies, even a single player on their own fits up to 8 runs into those 10 minutes — and that already accounts for marching to the target and back.
The number of simultaneous rallies is irrelevant here: march slots matter for the banks, while on the hunt itself you run a single march, over and over.
Even solo the buff is worth it: switch on Hunt Focus and burn your entire stamina pool at a discount, getting noticeably more chests out of the monsters than the same stamina would give you without it.
2. And if you go as a team
With several players it is a completely different story. Three of you, say, launch rallies at the same time and everyone joins everyone. That is three rallies in a single minute instead of one. And over ten minutes…
An event hunt is worth doing on your own as well. But as a group it is worth several times more, and not only because of the number of rallies.
Together we take on higher-level monsters, sometimes the maximum level. Solo, a monster like that is usually out of reach — you just cannot bring it down (unless, of course, you are a monster yourself and take the maximum level single-handed).
And the higher the monster's level, the fatter the reward — and it goes to every single participant in the rally. Which means that for exactly the same stamina spent, a group hunt hands you better prizes than you would ever get hunting alone.
Ideally, go hunting in teams. Solo is the fallback, not the plan.
Since Hunt Focus lasts only 10 minutes, it is best run while the whole alliance is gathered — that is, either shortly before a mass event or right after one, when everybody is online anyway.
The exact time is decided by the alliance leader and the Militarist. Do not fire the buff on your own "whenever it suits you" — you will spend a full day of cooldown for far less than it could have given.
3. The real problem: where to get the stamina
By default stamina is capped at 120. That is only three or four rallies — and your ten minutes are over before they started.
The buff without a stamina stockpile is a wasted 24-hour cooldown.
And this is where the trick comes in.
4. The trick: stamina banks
Rule one — do not open your chests early
Do not open the first three daily chests before the hunt! There are 30 stamina across the three of them, and if you open them right away, stockpiling gets much harder.
Open them right before the event starts, when the stamina goes straight into rallies. Opened early, that stamina only gets in the way of stockpiling: it lands in your normal pool and blocks you from building up further.
Where to find them. The daily chests sit at the top of the quests screen («Задания» in the Russian client — the English wording is unconfirmed). You reach that screen from the main screen, next to the Heroes icon.
Rule two — start in the morning
On the day of a strong-monster event (the event hunt being the example) do not spend stamina in the morning. From first thing in the morning, start your banks.
Rule three — open your bottles for the hunt only, and to a plan
Two pieces of advice float around about stamina bottles, and each is half right: "don't waste them on the hunt" and "save them precisely for the hunt". Here is the whole thing.
Stamina bottles are opened for event-monster hunts — the Stamina Event hunt being the example. Not for ordinary Monster Dens, and not because you fancy squeezing in one more rally.
The point is not the rallies themselves. An event like this comes with its own shop, and for roughly 5,000 stamina spent on the hunt you can buy a castle skin or an animated march skin there — the ones everybody sees on the world map.
And they are not just decoration. Skins carry stat bonuses: a castle skin gives +10 % to +20 % troop-type ATK, a march skin gives +2 % March Speed and +2 % Troop ATK.
So a bottle is not "one extra rally" — it is the way to push your total stamina spent over the threshold where the skin becomes yours.
Where that figure comes from. In the shop of the previous run of the event, a castle skin cost 1,000 fangs. A level 1–4 monster drops 5 fangs for a 30-stamina rally; a level 5–7 monster drops 10 fangs for a 60-stamina rally. Either way, 1,000 fangs works out at about 6,000 stamina without the buff and about 4,800 under Hunt Focus. A march skin is cheaper: 600 fangs, so roughly 3,600 stamina, or 2,900 under the buff.
Fangs you fail to spend expire with the shop — when it closes they are converted into iron (100 iron per fang). Half a skin's worth of fangs left in your bag is a day of stockpiling thrown away. Work out the threshold in advance.
What a "bank" is
A bank is a one-hour rally on the strongest Monster Den available to you, set up so that it is guaranteed to kill nothing:
- Start the rally with a single Vehicle and no heroes.
- Always set the limit of one unit per joining player.
- An hour later, if you are around, cancel the rally.
- If you forget — no harm done: the Vehicle attacks the Monster Den, loses and dies. Healing it costs pennies, and the stamina you spent comes back.
No contradiction. The Vehicles guide is about combat rallies, the ones that are supposed to win. A bank is a rally that must lose. That is exactly why it goes out as one Vehicle with no heroes: it is the cheapest thing to heal.
Why it works
The whole method rests on stamina being refunded: refunded stamina is not clipped by the 120 cap, unlike potions and normal regeneration.
In numbers. Say a rally costs 30 stamina and your cap is 120:
| Step | What happens | Stamina |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Starting point, pool full | 120 |
| 2 | You send out a bank rally (−30) | 90 |
| 3 | The rally runs for an hour while stamina regenerates | ≈100 |
| 4 | The rally returns — and so do the 30 | 130 |
| 5 | Repeat the cycle | 140, 150, … |
Beyond that a single rally is not enough: at 150 you send out 30 and land exactly on 120, and at 120 stamina does not regenerate — that is the maximum. No net gain.
But nothing stops you from joining someone else's bank as well! Now you have 60 stamina sitting in banks waiting to come back, while you are below the cap again and still accumulating. Then three rallies, four, five…
You can stockpile up to 120 + N × x + 30, where x is the stamina cost of a rally, N is how many rallies you keep running at once, and + 30 is those three daily chests you did not open early.
At 30 per rally and five rallies that is 300 instead of 120. And that is when the hunt begins.
The common mistake: "banks don't work, it's a scam"
Every time, somebody starts a bank on a half-empty pool — 40 stamina out of 120, say — then stares at the counter, sees no gain at all and announces: "I did everything by the guide, nothing is accumulating, your trick is a scam."
A bank does not speed up accumulation and does not conjure stamina out of thin air. Your regeneration rate is exactly what it was before.
It does exactly one thing: it moves part of your stamina out from under the cap. The 120 cap is not just a limit, it is a stop valve: the moment your pool hits 120, regeneration stops ticking, and everything that would have ticked up after that is simply lost. A bank frees up room so the tick can work again.
Hence the key point: the gain does not appear when you launch the bank — it appears when your pool has grown back up to 120. That is when you are holding a full 120 plus whatever is sitting in the bank.
Launch a bank at 40 and you have 10 in hand and 30 in the bank. The same 40 — nothing has changed. It will change in a few hours, once those 10 have ticked their way back up to 120.
That is why banks go out first thing in the morning: the point is to reach the cap several times over the course of the day, not to "press a button and receive stamina".
How many banks you can run
Up to five — that is the game's ceiling: five simultaneous rallies, and that five already includes the extra march slot from VIP 8.
But our kingdom is new, so most of us currently have only 2–3 simultaneous rallies available. Work out your own ceiling from your own rally count, not from the pretty number 300.
Joining someone else's rally costs exactly as much as starting your own — so other people's banks store your stamina just as well as yours do.
How long it takes
One bank cycle is an hour, and the net gain from it is roughly however much stamina ticks up for you in an hour. That rate differs from player to player: it depends on how far you have levelled the relevant skills, so there are no fixed numbers here — check your own.
Two practical consequences:
- Getting from 120 up to your ceiling is a full day's work, not "launch and forget". Banks have to be relaunched as they come back.
- That is why you start first thing in the morning — and why those three daily chests with 30 stamina are not a detail, but several hours of accumulation handed to you for free.
5. Discipline during the hunt itself
Sometimes the whole alliance turns out for the hunt. Then the order is:
- Strong players who can clearly take the maximum monster level (alone, in pairs or in threes) start the rallies.
- Everyone else joins with ONE unit, without exception, so as not to increase the rally leader's losses — as explained in the Vehicles guide.
- If there are a lot of people, weaker players start rallies too, but strictly with one unit, and the strong ones join them with full marches.
The reason is always the same: rally damage is spread across every participant. One weak march joining "at full strength" turns somebody's clean rally into losses for the whole alliance. One unit — and you share the rewards without adding to other people's losses.
If you are the one starting the rally, it is your job to watch for unacceptable behaviour: players joining your rally with Vehicles or with full marches of weak troops.
Shoot them down — kick them out of the rally. Otherwise people never learn the rules.
6. Step by step
- In advance: do not open the first three daily chests — keep those 30 stamina in reserve.
- Morning of the event: spend nothing. Start your banks — one-hour rallies, one Vehicle, no heroes, one-unit join limit.
- Through the day: keep all your rally slots busy (however many you have), join other people's banks too, relaunch as they return.
- Just before the hunt: cancel the banks — all that stamina comes back above the cap. Open the chests. Bottles only if you cannot reach the shop threshold without them, never otherwise.
- At the hour set by the leader and the Militarist (before a mass event or right after it), once the alliance is gathered: switch on Hunt Focus — and only now, with your hands full of stamina, start hunting.
- For 10 minutes: one-minute rallies, everyone starting them, everyone joining everyone, the weaker players with one unit.
7. What not to do
- Do not switch the buff on early. The 10 minutes run whether or not you have anything to spend. The cooldown is a full day — there is no second chance today.
- Do not start a bank with real troops or heroes. If the Monster Den actually dies, the stamina counts as properly spent and will not be refunded — the bank is gone.
- Do not forget the one-unit join limit. It protects your bank from an accidental win and your allies from pointless losses.
- Do not plan on gathering resources at the same time. Banks occupy your march slots all day — that is the price of stockpiling.
